Beware of DHGate Counterfeit Glass

Recently, a large ecommerce platform called DHGate (which is based in China), has been getting into the glass industry.  Similar to an eBay style model, individual sellers are allowed to list items and sell them.  More and more glass has been appearing on DHGate, none of which is of US origin or holds up to the quality that we have been use to in the United States.

What's concerning is that more and more glass is being counterfeited on DHGate, and the designs of many American glassblowers, artists, and brands such as JM Flow Sci Glass, Empire Glassworks, Grav Labs, and so many more, are being stolen and then resold as knockoffs.

To make matters worse, sellers have been stealing our product photography when listing their knockoff products on the site, or even going as far to attempt to impersonate our company on the site.

These sellers are not only stealing intellectual property from hard working American glassblowers, but also devaluing the glass scene as a whole.  While costs of labor may be cheaper in China, and workers are forced to produce products with different working conditions, innovation in functional glass art, water pipes, rigs, and technology has always taken place here in the US.
