Matrix Perc Bongs

A matrix perc packs more diffusion into a small footprint than most other styles, a real upgrade in smoothness if you're willing to pull a little harder to get it. Matrix perc bongs are precision engineering, not just extra glass for the sake of it. Browse more in our Percolator Bongs collection.

How to Choose the Right Matrix Perc Bong

Matrix percs filter hard, so only go this route if you're fine pulling a bit stronger than usual. If you want serious smoothness without the extra drag, a showerhead-style perc is the easier alternative with similar filtration.

How to Use a Matrix Perc Bong

Fill it enough to submerge the perc, then pull a little stronger than you would on a plain tube.

Fill the base until the matrix perc is covered.
Pack the bowl loosely.
Light while pulling with a firm, steady draw.
Clear the chamber fully.
Rinse after every session, this one takes a bit more effort to clean.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes a matrix perc different from other percs?

It packs more diffusion into a small footprint, giving heavy filtration but needing a firmer pull to draw through.

Is a matrix perc hard to pull through?

Harder than a showerhead or basic diffuser, but manageable once you're used to it.

Is a matrix perc worth it over a simpler percolator?

If smoothness is your main priority, yes, if an easy pull matters more, a showerhead is the better call.

How do I clean a matrix perc?

Standard iso and salt soak, just give it extra shake time since the design has more nooks to reach.

Can a matrix perc be combined with a recycler?

Yes, that combo exists and gives you serious filtration on top of active water cycling.

Is a matrix perc bong good for a first piece?

Not the easiest starting point, a simpler single-chamber piece is a better first buy.

Do matrix perc bongs cost more than plain tubes?

Usually a bit more, the extra glasswork adds to the build. For more, see our guide: Bent Neck Matrix Perc Bong Review: Is This The Smoothest Bong?.
