Pass the PAX.

PAX is a premier dry herb vaporizer company that has made the vaping revolution even more impressive with their release of the PAX 2. It is an upgrade to the company's original product the PAX, and the improvements are vast!

The PAX 2 has a battery with a 30% larger capacity, it is 25% smaller, and 10% lighter than the PAX 1, and the PAX 2 is smarter with lip sensing technology and four temperature settings. The PAX 2 is created and designed in San Francisco, CA, and the device is manufactured and assembled in China. The team at PAX works very closely with the manufacturer by making regular trips to make adjustments and control quality to their products to ensure that everything is extremely well made.

The PAX 2 is made with an internal lithium ION battery which takes about 3 hours to charge via USB, but if you have the AC adapter accessory the battery will charge in about 2 hours. A full charges length is dependent on a few factors like the temperature settings, individual sessions, and the amount of times your PAX 2 is cooling and reheating. In a general a full charge could last anywhere from around 5-10 sessions, you will know a session is over when you see less vapor and taste less and less flavor. You can check the remaining battery life by gently shaking device back and forth.

The petals light up to display remaining life, 1 petal is 25%, 2 petals is 50%, 3 petals is %75, and 4 is 75% or more. The PAX 2 exterior shell is made with transverse-brushed anodized aluminum and was chosen specifically because it is great at absorbing and dispensing heat. Though it may get warm you can help to disperse heat by wrapping your hand around the device. Two interchangeable mouthpieces with lip sensing technology to optimize heat and vapor production.

To turn on the PAX 2 simply press the button on the center of mouthpiece and the light should begin to pulse. THe device should take anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 minute to heat up, once it turns green it is ready to use. There are 4 heating settings ranging from 360-420 degrees fahrenheit. To change the temperature setting hold down the mouthpiece button for an extended period, the amount of pedals lighting up are relative to the heat setting. With only one light it is the lowest setting and the more lights that you put on create a higher temperature. Exit temperature set mode by holding down the mouthpiece button or shaking the device.

If the PAX 2 is set down for over 30 seconds the oven will begin to slowly cool to preserve the battery life and your material, also if the PAX 2 does not sense your lips for 20 seconds the oven temperature will lower by a few degrees to preserve your material. Once you pick it back up or take a draw it will reheat. After 3 minutes of inactivity the device will completely shut off.

PAX2 comes with a 10 year limited warranty that covers defects in materials & craftsmanship under normal use for a period of 10 years from the date of retail purchase by the original end user. PAX labs Inc. will cover a physical defect by repairing the product defect or exchange the product with a product that is new or at least functionally equivalent product. The limited warranty does not apply to normal performance degradation of batteries or neglecting to adhere to cleaning instructions. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, flood, fire, earthquake, acts of piracy or other external causes, and damage caused by operating the product outside the permitted or intended use as described by PAX. Nor does it cover parts that have been modified to alter functionality or capability and it does not cover cosmetic damages.

The PAX 2 has a bunch of unique features that are extremely cool. There are two versions of the PAX2 unique features and one model plays the game "Simon Says" and the other version plays the song “Funkytown.”

The following guidelines for accessing the unique features ares for the models equipped with Simon Says:

By holding the PAX 2 horizontally in front of you and rotating the device three times towards or away from you you will access the unique features. There are five different unique modes: party mode, party timer, light painting, color carousel, and Simon Says. The modes are changed every 3 spins, so the first 3 spins is party mode, the next three spins are party timer, the next three spins are light painting, then the next three is color carousel, and your final three spins, totalling 15 spins, is the game Simon Says.

Party mode: All four lights are different and cycle different colors, and lip sensor activation increases speed of light changes and the oven is on. Party time is when all the lights are stationary and when the PAX2 is moved the lights will jump to a new pattern, Lip sensor activation makes the lights flicker and change rapidly for 10 seconds, after 10 seconds the lights freeze, the oven is on.

Light painting mode is when all four lights show the same color and it cycles through colors as the PAX2 is moved, when still the lights are off, and the oven can be on or off in this mode.

Color carousel is the mode when lights react to movement and position, when the device is laid flat the lights are blue, when face down they are orangish-yellow. When held upright and rotated around the lights begin to cycle a noticeable pattern.

Simon Says is the last feature mode and you will see all the lights flash white three times and then the game will begin. If you manage to complete 20 rounds of Simon you unlock a special treat!
