Frequently Asked Questions
What is a clay bong?
A clay bong is a water pipe fired from clay and usually sold as a ceramic bong. It is heavier and more opaque than glass, so you cannot watch the water. Browse glass bongs to compare materials.
What is the SeshGear Chinese Vase Ceramic Bong?
It comes in 5.5, 5.75 and 7.75 inch sizes with a 14mm female joint, per the titles. The base shapes are Oval, Bubble and Double Bubble, so you pick by height and base style.
What is the RYOT Ceramic Maple Traveller Pipe?
It is a ceramic pipe from RYOT, per the title, and the Traveller name points to a portable format. It is a pipe rather than a bong, so check the listing for the size and the bowl details before you choose.
What are the Art of Smoke ceramic hand pipes?
Art of Smoke makes ceramic hand pipes with sculpted character designs. A hand pipe is a small pipe held in one hand with no water chamber, so it is the portable alternative to a bong. Check each listing for the size and the finish.
What is the Roast and Toast Bikini Body ceramic pipe mug?
It is a ceramic pipe mug, per the title, so it doubles as a mug-shaped pipe. It is a fun shelf piece that does not look like gear. Check the listing for the size and the details.
How do I care for a ceramic bong?
Pour out the water, rinse with warm water and use a soft brush inside. Check the maker's notes first, because glazes and finishes differ. Ceramic can chip, so handle it gently, and see iso and salt cleaners.
Which brands make clay bongs?
SeshGear, Smoke Cartel's own line and Art of Smoke make the pieces in this collection. Compare the shape, the height and the joint size, because the shelf runs from vase bongs and novelty shapes to ceramic pipes and mugs. Titles name the size and the style.
