Frequently Asked Questions
What are bong parts?
Bong parts are the pieces that make up a water pipe and can be swapped on it: the bowl or slide that holds the herb, the downstem that carries smoke into the water, and adapters that change joints. Shop complete water pipes if you need a whole piece.
What is a bong slide?
A slide is a bowl piece that slides into the joint of the bong, as in the Worked Herb Slide and the Male Diamond Herb Slide. It is the part you pack. Check the listing for the joint size before you choose.
What does a diffused downstem do?
A downstem carries smoke from the bowl down into the water, and a diffuser spreads that smoke into more bubbles. Titles such as the Color Diffused Downstem in 3, 3.5 and 4 in. and the Roll Uh Bowl downstem with a diffuser ball show the idea.
What does a 10mm Female to 10mm Female Adapter do?
It connects pieces with 10mm joints, per its title. Adapters let you mix parts with different joint sizes or genders, so match the size and gender of both joints on your pieces before you choose one.
What size bowl do I need, 10mm, 14mm or 18mm?
Match the joint on your bong. Titles here list 10mm, 14mm and 18mm, plus male or female, as in the Funnel Bowl Female 14mm or the Thick Bowl with Horn Handle Male 14mm. Check your joint, then pick the same size and gender.
How do I clean bong parts?
Soak glass bowls, slides and downstems in isopropyl alcohol with coarse salt, shake, rinse with warm water and dry fully. Handle small parts gently over a towel. See glass cleaning solutions for brushes and solution.
Which brands make bong parts?
Smoke Cartel's own line, Empire Glassworks and Honeybee Herb make the parts in this collection. Compare the joint size and the part type, since titles name sizes like 10mm, 14mm and 18mm and parts like slides, bowls, downstems and adapters.
