Features of this Recycler
There are many advantages to a bent neck design. Some people prefer it because of the aesthetics, but the bent neck serves an important function in some pieces. Because of the angle, it prevents splash-back into your mouth.
A diffused downstem is a simple glass tube that puts the smoke down through the water. Smoke diffuses into the water through the downstems holes or slits.
This piece has a downstem that cannot be removed. Downstems can add an extra layer of percolation and smoke diffusion, ensuring some seriously smooth hits.
Reinforced with a technique called a "dewar's joint", which is a bridge between the two joints, this increase the strength of the joint and helps prevents breakage.
These pipes "recycle" the smoke in a second chamber and bring it in a loop through the filter again and again. This action allows for a cooler smoke and a more flavorful hit.
We consider this piece to have thick glass, which helps with the durability of certain glass items. Thick glass means your piece is less likely to break as a result of damage. While many of our pieces have thick glass, we felt the need to point it out specifically here.
