How It's Made
Glass Spoon Pipes
Despite their straightforward nature, making hand pipes requires a large amount of training and experience. Glass artists start with a tube about four inches long and decorate it with a variety of techniques such as fuming, linework, etc. Next the artist starts to create the shape of the pipe by stretching the neck and forming the mouthpiece. The artist then carefully blows into the end of the tube to expand the glass and shape the bowl. They then push the bowl and pop the carb before placing it in the kiln to finish!

We consider this piece to have thick glass, which helps with the durability of certain glass items. Thick glass means your piece is less likely to break as a result of damage. While many of our pieces have thick glass, we felt the need to point it out specifically here.
For those that like the refined minimalist look, unmarked clean glass is for you. This style means the glass is not branded or cluttered with decals, it's just clean glass, pure and simple.
Chubz Glass is a promising glass studio created by the talented Chris Barker. Barker started his path as a glassblower back in 2001, and has been a name to remember ever since. Chubz Glass is dedicated to heady one-of-a-kind pieces that truly show off the craft of the makers. These glass pipes are usually adorned with incredible color, including wig wag and frosty working. Most Chubz Glass rigs are inspired by monsters, each with its own sense of personality and style. Chubz Glass is a brand that Smoke Cartel always looks forward to getting in, and it'll be one for you to keep your eye on as well.
