Straight Tube or Beaker Bong?

Straight tube bong vs. beaker bong is an age-old debate among expert smokers.

Usually smokers will gravitate toward one or the other. It may not seem like that big of a difference, but the shape of the bottom can affect several aspects of the overall experience.

One of the advantages of beaker bongs is that they hold more water and more smoke in the bottom. This allows for larger hits at a time. Beaker bongs also have plenty of room for percs that you want to add for extra filtration. Some types of percs simply don’t fit inside a straight tube water pipe, so it’s an important factor if you’re planning on using a specific perc. Usually, beaker, bubble, and other non-straight bottomed bongs have more variety and creativity in their designs. If you’re looking for a truly unique piece of glass, you’re sure to find one that incorporates a beaker bottom. The last advantage to beaker bongs is that they are generally sturdier than straight tube bongs, and are less prone to tipping over and breaking. Some designs include a lip, a ring, or a slightly more flared base to increase the stability of the piece.

Beaker bongs have become highly popular, as you can see from the extensive collection we have featured. You will find basic beaker bongs, ones with percs already included, and even recyclers in our collection. Beaker bongs offer a little something for everyone. Take a look around—you’re sure to walk away with a piece you love.
